Today is the first day of the second month in the lunar calendar, and it seems that spring of the Year of the Tiger has truly arrived.
The world is changing rapidly and dramatically. There has been some political discussion, and it has led to a lot of chaos. There are various forms of insults and struggles... making it overwhelming. Everyone is in a different world, and everyone has different understandings. Various forms of communication allow everyone to stand on their own islands, looking far and wide. Some may try to shout, while others enjoy observing. Our understanding of the world and the different political discourses reflect, to some extent, our understanding of ourselves. To put it more dramatically, it is ourselves.
Just like the arrival of spring, everyone is in direct and close contact with nature, which is decentralized. Whether "know thyself" is an eternal theme is hard to say, but for me, it is indeed a valuable mental activity. Regardless of how I perceive the world, whether noble or base, there are many unknown motives hidden within. Beneath my correct statements, there are many "evil" things, which cannot be considered dirt, but can only be described as unknown. If I do not recognize this "evil"? Wouldn't I be led by it, haha?
When I am doing many things, I often have many "evil" thoughts, but I do not suppress them, nor do I acknowledge the correctness of these "evil" thoughts. False "morality" can lead people astray, either getting lost or being chained like a dog. This is the real power. This is also why I, as an individual, can write genuine words. When I write these words, I do not need to be responsible to anyone or anything, or any political discourse; I only need to be responsible for myself. However, on the other hand, how could I not be genuine alone? If this is still a kind of performance, then I am calm and enjoying the role I play.
If I were to envision a way of life, I would absolutely create a world where "individuals" can live independently. Just like in the world of words, I can roam freely; this feeling of being able to do as I please without harming others is indescribably exciting, just like the lively scent of decay in spring, gentle yet comfortable, rotten yet vibrant...
Returning to reality, this way of life must also aim for decentralization. The decentralization of social relationships requires the absolute centralization of individuals. For example, one person is a bank, one person is a country, one person is an army, a power station, a farm, a hospital, a game, a planet, a car... It sounds quite silly, but this is a hopeful direction, just like the feeling spring brings me. Like wandering the world with a sword, like writing an article that never ends, like heading to a person's planet.
As for harm and killing, if I could perform photosynthesis, I certainly wouldn't even need to defecate. The aroma of food and the stench of feces, although disgusting when linked together, are indeed two forms of the same thing. Our deliberate avoidance of connecting the two may have overlooked much of the truth. That is, beneath eating and defecating, this eating actually carries a hint of feces. Perhaps feces is the price of a feast! So for the objects I can conquer, if they can understand this consequence, I would be cautious. Therefore, regarding unnecessary harm and killing, if everyone could live independently, perhaps things would change.
So is this just my fantasy? At least I can be sure that I think this way. Perhaps many people think so too. Some people I know believe that interacting with others is pleasant; they cannot live independently, and life exists because they are needed. This way of thinking is also acceptable. When we envision a person on a deserted island, we feel very comfortable; if there are two people, we need to consider the relationship between the two. At this point, a centralized relationship similar to Leviathan arises. Three people, four people... 10 billion, and at this point, there is actually only one person left, which is this 10 billion relationship Leviathan-like entity. If we want to have a party, it’s better to have more people; breaking this relationship Leviathan-like entity would make the party lively, unlike now, filled with foolish and uninteresting struggles, haha!
So, one person is not impossible, and living together with 1 billion people is also not impossible. When one person can live independently, then more people can also live independently.
Is this a utopia? Is this communism? I think certainly not. We do not share anyone's production; if anything, it can be considered liberalism. This ideology, that ideology is indeed annoying. Beyond ideologies is my feeling about this spring! This feeling of individuals being able to rely on no one and nothing, this feeling or this ideology!
For example, sunlight is necessary for independent living, cheap yet important. In some places now, it is indeed not cheap, haha. Spacex is also a more decentralized network, compared to traditional ones that can only connect to local service providers. Solar panels also allow us to enjoy the gifts of the sun.
Original text: Being able to live independently is the best life
PS: At that time, AI was not as popular as it is now. A few days ago (today [[2025-12-09]]), Musk predicted that the output brought by AI would exceed the inflation rate within three years. Future work may not be necessary. I suddenly thought of the [[Dyson Sphere Program (2021)|Dyson Sphere Program]]. If one can create a Dyson Sphere without relying on others, that is the product of automation and AI. So, is the labor theory of value still correct? If AI can independently create products, doesn’t that mean that individuals, after accumulating a certain amount of capital, can achieve self-sufficient living using AI and automation? Hence, I reconstructed this article.
